The IPS®MobApp offers several security features, including secure communication with the IPS®ENERGY ecosystem through top-tier encryption comparable to credit card transactions. The system is hosted within the company’s environment, preventing direct access by field workers, who use the app to gather data via a secure Mobile API instead. The app can be distributed through various channels, including enterprise app stores, public app stores, or custom methods like Mobile Device Management (MDM), ensuring alignment with company security policies. Additionally, it holds all necessary certificates for compliance, guaranteeing data protection and corporate security adherence.

The offline mode in IPS®MobApp allows field workers to continue their tasks even when the internet connection is poor or unavailable. When working offline, the database is stored on the device. Once the app reconnects to the internet, the locally stored data is automatically synchronized with the central database. The offline mode provides full functionality, allowing users to access all features, including image recognition, GPS tracking, and dynamic task management, even without an internet connection.

The nameplate recognition feature in IPS®MobApp utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) and optical character recognition (OCR) to identify and analyze asset nameplates.
