Georgian State Electrosystem (GSE)

Georgian State Electrosystem JSC (GSE) is the national electricity transmission system operator in Georgia, responsible for managing and maintaining the country’s high-voltage electric power infrastructure. As part of the “Work and Asset Management” (WAM) project, which was carried out from January 2016 to January 2019, GSE successfully implemented IPS®EAM and IPS®APM systems. Since their deployment, these solutions have been in continuous daily operation, supporting the management of assets and maintenance activities across GSE’s substations and transmission lines.

With IPS, GSE achieved some of the following results:

  1. Established a unified Work and Asset Management (WAM) system with centralized database and multi-platform access (web, desktop, mobile)
  2. Improved maintenance efficiency through better scheduling, monitoring, and condition-based strategies extending asset lifecycles
  3. Enhanced operational performance, reduced downtime, optimized maintenance costs, and ensured compliance with industry standards
