George Galaz
General Manager, Americas
As General Manager for the Americas, George is helping prepare IPS Energy for its next chapter of growth across the region. He is focused on making customer success the company’s top priority while expanding IPS Energy’s installed base across North and Latin America.
With more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry, George brings extensive expertise in real-time grid control and data acquisition systems, asset management solutions, business transformation, and customer engagement. Most recently, he served as Vice President and General Manager of Hitachi Energy’s Network Control and Enterprise Software Solutions businesses, formerly part of the ABB Power Grids Division.
George holds a degree in Computer Science from Chile, an MBA from the Haskayne School of Business in Canada, and a diploma in Organizational Leadership from Harvard Business School.
