Alfanar Engineering Services & IPS Energy Announce Strategic Collaboration for Advanced Intelligent Testing & Commissioning Management in Saudi Arabia

Paris, France. 25 August 2026: Alfanar Engineering Services (Alfanar ES) and IPS Intelligent Process Solutions GmbH (IPS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to offer the digitalization of testing and commissioning management for electrical infrastructure in Saudi Arabia.

Under this collaboration, both parties will establish a framework to evaluate, customize, and integrate the IPS Intelligent Commissioning Management solution with Alfanar ES’s platform empowering data-driven decisions and streamlining the client experience.

The collaboration comes at a time when energy and infrastructure organizations are under increasing pressure to deliver complex electrical projects safely and efficiently. Through this framework, Alfanar ES and IPS shall help project execution teams move beyond manual handovers towards a more integrated, digital and data-led approach to commissioning management.

Alfanar ES with its strong presence in the kingdom shall be leading engineering framework by offering testing workflows and protocols, developing client facing digital reporting formats, setting pass/fail criteria and asset structures, as well as validating the solution through live commissioning projects thereby driving digital operational deployment across critical substations in Saudi Arabia

Whereas IPS will provide the core software covering digital testing and commissioning, develop the agreed integration interfaces, provide solution architecture, and shall support the rollout with training materials, guidance, and technical expertise. This coordinated approach is designed to ensure that the platform is aligned with operational requirements and capable of delivering meaningful value to project and field teams

The collaboration brings together Alfanar ES’s locally established testing, commissioning and field-service capabilities with the IPS®ENERGY intelligent software platform, placing Intelligent Commissioning Management (ICM) directly into Alfanar ES’s digital platform to deliver a fully automated solution.

This partnership also reflects a shared ambition to support the Saudi’s evolving energy and infrastructure landscape with scalable digital solutions.
