Svenska Kraftnät (SvK) is the Swedish national transmission system operator responsible for managing and maintaining the country’s electricity transmission grid. SvK ensures the secure, reliable, and efficient transport of electricity across Sweden. The company operates a vast and complex network critical to Sweden’s energy security.
Working closely with IPS, SvK achieved some of the results:
- Centralized SvK’s network model data for faster, more reliable grid management and analysis.
- Enabled efficient coordination between Sweden’s grid operators, utilities, and market actors through a unified Network Model Database (NMDB).
- Enhanced support for real-time operations, investments, and scenario planning with robust multi-model integration.
- Automated network model updates and validation processes, reducing errors and operational risk across Sweden’s national grid.
